DetailsThis private 2,500 acre tract of forests, lakes and streams was established by the Eaton family of Toronto in the 1940's as their private hunting preserve and enjoyed the reputation as the finest deer hunting camp in Eastern Canada. Many of the original buildings from this earlier era have been preserved and carefully refurbished by the present owners. The property extends over two townships, entirely encompasses Boundary Lake and borders 3 other lakes and totals more than 2,500 acres in freehold title. In addition to Boundary Lake which has a surface area of approximately 150 acres the property borders Kingshott Lake to the northeast, Wilcox Lake to the southeast and Spider Lake to the northwest. Spider Lake is directly accessible by water to the Moon River Basin, Sans Souci and the open waters of Georgian Bay. Additionally the forestry and mineral rights for the Boundary Lake property are in the provenance of the titleholder and not the Crown. The forests are predominately hardwood - ash, oak, maple, birch and cherry with representations of white pine, hemlock and red cedar. These forests abound with a variety of wildlife including white tail deer, moose, black bear and even a small herd of elk. A wilderness provincial park ' The "Massassauga" almost entirely encircles Boundary ensuring its natural state for the foreseable future. The compound is sited on a large clearing on the north shore of Boundary Lake and includes the following improvements:
The property is accessed either by float plane or by automobile - 2 hours to the gated entrance from the GTA. A private 3.1 kilometre all season gravel road connects the entrance of the property to the main compound of Boundary Lake.
